The Official Sport of Texas.
Texas State FarmŪ Agents are proud to partner with the top rodeos in the state. In 1997, Rodeo was named the official sport of Texas by the 75th Legislature. In 2010 Texas Rodeos contributed to over $30 million dollars in scholarships, grants and endowments to Texas youth alone. Texas State FarmŪ Agents value the education of our youngsters and understand the importance of preserving our Texas heritage, making Rodeo and State FarmŪ, Texas Traditions.
Mutton Bustin', a crowd favorite, is a fun-filled competition where a few lucky children climb on the back of a sheep and hold on for 6 exciting seconds! Each Mutton Bustin' competitor receives a trophy and the overall winner wins a gold and silver belt buckle presented to them by one of our local State FarmŪ Agents.
